East Gippsland businesses will soon benefit from an increase in the quality and amount of Trained young adults, ready for the workforce.

Currently, the East Gippsland Shire is working with the Trade Training Centre in Schools program, a Government initiative to address the shortage of skills in key areas.

It will involve Secondary College students having access to key vocational areas. Those being considered for the East Gippsland area are civil construction, food processing and technology.

If the Shire is successful in their bid, all East Gippsland secondary college students will benefit from new infrastructure and video conferencing facilities, spread out over the next couple of years.
